Your submission should include a detailed query letter, contact information (including phone number and e-mail) and you can feel free to include one chapter and/or a synopsis. Feel free to send a general query or specify the agent whom you'd like to review your materials. Please do not send to multiple agents, unless requested to do so.
If we need more information or we would like to request sample chapters or the full manuscript or proposal, we will do so via e-mail. Requested material may be sent to the above address. Please include a SASE. Manuscripts will not be returned.
Though we will let you know our decision on requested material (average response time is 6-8 weeks, sometimes sooner and sometimes longer depending the numbers received), we may not be able to respond to every query letter due to volume.
Submission Checklist:
- Include all requested documents and information
- Include pertinent platform information (what qualifies you to write your book) in the query letter
- Remember one Word document via e-mail is the preferred format for requested material (no PDF files)
- Make sure your manuscript or proposal has each page numbered (also, your contact info should appear on the title page)
- Proof all of your materials. The cleaner the presentation, the better
- Remember you only need one agent. Keep your spirits up
